The players and people involved with SCA Shires are a family. We may be a highly competitive family, proud of our individual clubs but we all love cricket and have made the choice to play, administer and support Shires cricket.  The Shires competition operates under the auspices of the Sydney Cricket Association and provides an exceptionally high standard of cricket, just below that in the Sydney Grade competition. There are four grades providing a wide range of skill levels. At the highest level, you will find current and ex-Test players jousting with ex-First Class players in a fiercely competitive environment in some of Sydney's finest venues. This site is not to supplant the club sites nor the site of the SCA but to provide a forum for the clubs to speak with a unified voice.

The Metropolitan Shield competition is associated with the Sydney Shires competition and effectively provides a fifth grade for the clubs who compete in it.  All matches are on turf. 

Grounds Gallery—The Grounds Gallery in the menus on the left has an arial photo of every 1st/2nd grade ground in the Sydney Shires competition.  It shows ground measurements and a subjective view of the quality of the facilities.  Since pitches and outers can vary both from match to match and from season to season, there is no rating of the playing surface.
